EcoProof is a polymerised bitumen solution suspended in water. It is a liquid applied system and once cured provides a fully bonded, seamless coating with no joints. also provides a protective coating with high resistance to salts and other chemical.
EcoProof’s Corrosion Protection system provides a fully bonded waterproof barrier that can inhibit rust and provides an anti-corrosion finish to almost any metal.
In order to allow rust to occur / establish, three elements must be present, Metal (example: iron) Oxygen (usually from the atmosphere) An electrolyte (usually water).
As a liquid applied system EcoProof when cures it draws out all the moisture from the surface it is applied to and dispels it into the atmosphere, eliminating the presence of moisture once cured.
As a fully bonded system Ecoproof ensures that there is no opportunity for oxygen to occur underneath the membrane.
As a waterproofing system with waterproof certification (BDA), radon certification and methane certification ( see attached documents) there is no possibility for water vapour to penetrate the system ( unless damaged) with the above certifications and EcoProof ’s high resistance to salt and other corrosive elements, is ideal for corrosion protection applications
Below Ground Product Life Expectancy
The EcoProof System has amongst other purposes been designed for the use in below ground waterproofing and tanking, in applications which are not subjected to long periods of UV exposure. When applied to a concrete structure which is intended to be either a below ground construction or protected somehow from UV exposure the EcoProof System has a life expectancy in excess of 50 years, and will continue to prevent water ingress well beyond this period as long as the following conditions are met.
i. The coating is not exposed to contaminates that will damage the product
ii. Standard maintenance is carried out to ensure the membrane is not subjected to adverse conditions beyond its limitations.
